🧭 Design Journey: Iteration Roadmap

Reimagining Health Essentials for Everyday Confidence
Is it possible to stand out in a sea of sameness?
That was the challenge we faced in designing and launching a health kit that included an infrared thermometer and pulse oximeter—two products nearly indistinguishable from countless others on the shelf.

The Challenge
The health tech space is filled with utilitarian, look-alike products. We needed to cut through the noise and deliver something that felt human, familiar, and trustworthy—without sacrificing modern appeal.
Our early user research and preference testing revealed a key insight: people don’t want complicated health tools. They want clarity, comfort, and ease. Visual simplicity wasn’t just a design preference—it was a health imperative. Cluttered packaging added cognitive load. Bright colors signaled novelty, not trust.

💡 Business Results
Designing with Empathy, Not Just Aesthetics
We stripped away everything that didn’t serve the user. Clean white backgrounds, soft curves, minimal color accents—each element was selected with intention. By removing unnecessary noise, we allowed the function of the product to shine.
The result? A calming, modern package that instantly communicates reliability.
But here’s the twist: when we tested newer design styles against legacy versions of our devices, 83% of users preferred the old models. Familiarity built trust. So instead of chasing trends, we leaned into what felt safe and known to our users—while refining the details to reflect a modern, medically credible identity.

The Solution
We launched four distinct SKUs, including two bundle options and standalone devices. Each was built on the foundation of user insights, functional packaging, and emotional resonance. This human-first design approach led to:
Distribution of 15,000+ units.
Sales distributed in major retailers including Walmart, CVS, and Aldi 2021-2022.
A consistent online presence that meets users where they shop and seek health guidance
